Share the joy         These people always get upset with Google Doodles but if u look at their history Google doesn't really do religious holidays. — Bigdaddy (@djbigdaddy) March 31, 2013 Some defenders of Google’s Cesar Chavez doodle are claiming that Google does not post holiday-themed “doodles.” Kerfuffle about #googledoodle of C Chavez ignores that there

Some defenders of Google’s Cesar Chavez doodle are claiming that Google does not post holiday-themed “doodles.”

Kerfuffle about #googledoodle of C Chavez ignores that there are NO doodles 4 religious holidays ’12-’09. google.com/doodles/finder…

@edroso the best part is that google never does that for religious holidays, so you get a guaranteed grievance every year at this time

Google doesn’t post religious doodles. Not everybody celebrates Christian holidays. Stop being so fucking close-minded, you morons.

However, Google posts Christmas-themed doodles every year in late December. Here are a few:

holiday08_5 holiday08_4 holiday08_3 holiday08_2 holiday08_1 culturetour10-hp holiday11-hp holiday_series_2012_2-999005-hp holiday_series_2013_1_-998005-hp

Google itself describes these images as holiday-themed. Given the timing (late December of every year) and the emphasis on toys, the allusion to Christmas is obvious.
